BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association announced their second installment of women’s and men’s cross-country Runners-of-the-Week Tuesday.  Karly Just of Valley City State (N.D.) was selected as the Women’s Runner-of-the-Week.  Caleb Sayler of Dakota State (S.D.) was named as the Men’s Runner-of-the-Week.

NSAA Women’s Cross-Country Runner-of-the-Week
Karly Just – Valley City State (N.D.) – Junior – LaMoure, N.D. – Just recorded the second fastest 5K time in Valley City State’s (N.D.) school history after running the NCAA Division II meet, the Minnesota State-Moorhead Twilight meet.  She clocked a time of 18 minutes, 44.2 seconds.  Just was the top finisher of all schools outside of Division I’s University of North Dakota.  The meet features schools and runners from NCAA Division II and III levels.

NSAA Men’s Cross-Country Runner-of-the-Week
Caleb Sayler – Dakota State (S.D.) – Senior – Lennox, S.D. – Sayler led Dakota State (S.D.) with a time of 26 minutes, .3 seconds in the Dordt (Iowa) Sunflower Open.  He finished eighth in the 8K race with a total of 91 runners.  Sayler helped the Trojans to their second-place finish in the race, defeating NCAA Division II Sioux Fals (S.D.) by eight points (70-78).  

Looking Ahead
Bellevue (Neb.) runs in the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational, hosted by NCAA Division III Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday.

Dickinson State (N.D.) is set to host their home meet on Saturday, the Rough Rider Run.  Jamestown (N.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.) also scheduled to run in the meet in Dickinson, N.D.
