On October 13th, 2024, at approximately 10:30 PM Central time, a crash involving injuries occurred between two-vehicles on Interstate 29 southbound near MM 43 in Richland County. (Approximately one mile south of Christine, ND).

A 1995 Kenworth semi-truck pulling a trailer operated by (Roesler) was traveling southbound on Interstate 29. A 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 operated by (Schneider) was traveling behind the semi-truck.
Schneider failed to see the Kenworth semi-truck traveling at a slower speed in front of him and rear-ended the semi-truck at road speed.

This collision caused the Dodge Ram to enter the median of Interstate-29. The Kenworth pulled over to the west shoulder after the collision.

Schneider sustained serious none-life threatening injuries from the crash and was transported by ambulance to the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Roesler was not injured in the crash.

This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
