NDHP – On October 19 at 8:24 am a Kenworth semi pulling a trailer loaded with gravel was eastbound in the 14100 block of 25th St SE in Cass County. A Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF) train was traveling a northwest direction on the rail line across 25th St SE. Garza failed to stop for the automatic crossing arms and struck the side of one of the intermodal railcars with the front of the Kenworth. The Kenworth came to rest in the roadway facing east. Garza was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo by Page Ambulance with non-life-threatening injury. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
