Jamestown – Chamber Ambassadors & Young Professionals helped the James River Humane Society to celebrate their finished expansions with a ribbon cutting.

The shelter broke ground on the new addition in 2023. Hillerud Construction handled the project, which allows more room for cats and includes isolation rooms and a large window. This allows the cats to be moved out of the Humane Society’s office where they were originally located. The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce previously held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the beginning of the project.

Congratulations to the James River Humane Society and those invovled on this completed project. We all commend you on your investment in our community and for providing a much needed service to the area.
