Minot, N.D. – The number one ranked University of Jamestown ACHA D1 men’s hockey team fell to the number two Minot State Beavers on Tuesday evening. The Jimmies were held to one goal as the Beavers scored six. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Darius Makse scored the Jimmies first at 7:45 in the second period with a pass from Zane MacDonald. Makse’s goal put the Jimmies within one of the Beavers, who scored twice in the first period.
  • The Beavers scored their third goal with nine minutes to go in the second to put the Jimmies down 1-3 to enter the final period. 
  • The Jimmies shot 11 attempts at goalie Jake Anthony in the third, but none proved successful. Minot tagged on another three goals in the third. Joey Moffatt scored two on power plays, and the Beavers exited their home ice with a win. 
  • The Jimmies had 27 shots on goal, and Brandon Weare saved 33 of the 39 shots he faced.

  • The Jimmies hit the road to play UNLV, Michigan-Dearborn, and Arizona State at the Chicago Showcase on November 22, 23, and 24, respectively. Friday and Saturday’s puck drop is at 4:30 PM, and Sunday’s is at 11:00 AM.
