Valley City State University Viking football is looking to retain The Paint Bucket in the last game of the season on the road against rival Jamestown. This will be the 78th battle for The Paint Bucket.

In their last matchup earlier this season the Vikings came out on top 38-7. The Vikings enter the matchup 3-6 and 2-5 in conference games. The Jimmies are 2-7 and 2-5 in the conference.

Kickoff is set for 1 P.M. Saturday Nov. 16 at Charlotte and Gordon Hansen Stadium in Jamestown. Radio coverage will be on KOVC 1490 AM. The University of Jamestown will provide live video coverage and stats. Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time at the links below.

Last Meeting: The Vikings and Jimmies battled earlier this season during the VCSU Ag Bowl in Valley City. VCSU took back the Paint Bucket with a 38-7 win over the Jimmies. In that game the Vikings were led by quarterback Avery Thorsgard who rushed 119 yards and a touchdown. Running back Laggarius Marshell ran for 59 yards and a touchdown and Exavian Westbrook scored on a 96-yard kick return for a touchdown.
