Jamestown – The Salvation Army 360 Life Center of Jamestown is excited to announce the kick-off of its annual Red Kettle Campaign, starting Friday, November 22nd. This essential holiday fundraiser is crucial to raising the dollars needed to support programs providing food assistance, emergency help with rent and utilities, and other critical services for people in the community.
Kettles will be located at the following Jamestown locations:
- Cashwise and Walmart: Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
- Home of Economy (Runnings) and Buffalo Mall: Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
- Jamestown Business Center outside The Depot: Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Volunteer bell ringers are needed to staff the kettles and encourage donations. Without volunteers, the kettles do not generate funds. “An unattended kettle raises no money, but one staffed by a smiling bell ringer inspires generosity,” said Jerry Bergquist, chair of the Salvation Army Jamestown Advisory Board. “Every hour of bell ringing makes a real difference in people’s lives.”
Community members can sign up to ring bells at RegisterToRing.com or by calling 701-252-0290.
The funds raised through the Red Kettle Campaign stay local, directly supporting programs that combat food insecurity, provide emergency financial assistance, and much more.
