NDHP – On November 23, 2024 at around 1:30 p.m., an NDHP Trooper responded to a dispatched report of a vehicle driving recklessly eastbound on Interstate 94. The Trooper contacted the vehicle on Interstate 94 near mile marker 233 (4 miles east of Medina, ND). The
driver and suspect in this incident was identified as Angelo White (37 year old male; New Town, ND). White was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. During the arrest, White assaulted the State Trooper and they fought for several minutes before backup could arrive. A Foster County Sheriff’s Deputy was traveling through, stopping to assist upon hearing the request for help over the radio. White also assaulted the Deputy. Other State
Troopers and Stutsman County Deputies arrived several minutes later. White was subsequently taken into custody.

Angelo White was charged with the following offenses:
Driving while license suspended (B Misdemeanor)
Driving under the influence/actual physical control (B Misdemeanor)
Driving under the influence/refusal to submit to chemical test (B Misdemeanor)
Simple assault on a peace officer (C Felony) – two counts
Contact by bodily fluids against law enforcement (C Felony)
Resisting arrest (C Felony)

White was remanded to custody at the Stutsman County Jail.

The NDHP Trooper sustained minor injuries and is recovering at home.
In an unrelated event, at approximately 2:30 p.m., an NDHP Trooper responded to a
dispatched report of a vehicle driving recklessly eastbound on Interstate 94. The Trooper
contacted the vehicle on Interstate 94 near mile marker 333 (2 miles east of Casselton, ND).
The driver of this vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol without
incident.
