Jamestown – The James River Valley Library System presents the eleventh annual Mitten Tree, 2024. Items sought are new or gently used mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves.
It’s that time of year again when the weather turns cold and we need to dig out our hats, mittens, scarves, and other warm clothes out of storage. To help those who may not have the necessary items during the cold weather season, JRVLS has placed a Mitten Tree in the Adult Section of Alfred Dickey Library. We are asking the community to help us decorate our Mitten Tree by donating new or gently used hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves for all ages. All donations will be given to local charities, which will give the donated items to those who need them.
In previous years we have received an outstanding amount of donations from our generous community, and we want to thank all those who helped make our Mitten Tree a huge success! This year we want to make it an even bigger success, so please stop by the library December 4, 2024 through January 3, 2025, and help us decorate our Mitten Tree again. Drop off your donated items at ADPL, 105 3rd St SE.
