NDHP – On December 10 at 5:30pm a Ford F-150 was eastbound on I-94 near milepost 343 when the driver lost control on an icy bridge deck. The vehicle began rotating and was struck by several other vehicles.
The F-150 became disabled in the roadway until NDHP Troopers were able to quick clear the
vehicle from the lanes of travel.
Sanford Ambulance arrived on scene and treated those involved for minor injuries. No one
was transported from the scene by ambulance.
The NDHP would like to remind the public that crashes like this can be avoided by driving
distraction free, driving appropriately for the road conditions, and maintaining a safe driving
distance. During winter months greater following distances are needed. As a general rule, 8 to
10 seconds during winter months is suggested.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
