KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For the third consecutive year, the University of Jamestown’s Ellie Holen has been named the NAIA Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Year.
The national office announced the 2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball All-American and special awards on Tuesday.
Holen led the nation with an average of 5.83 digs per set, and averaged 5.90 digs per set in North Star Athletic Association conference matches. She led the Jimmies this season with 490 digs and holds the UJ single-season (887) and career (2967) records for digs. 2024 marks the second straight first-team All-American honor for Holen, who was also a second-team All-American in 2022.
Aleah Zieske was named as a second-team All-American. Zieske led Jamestown with 350 kills and finished her career with 1364 kills, which ranks sixth in program history.
Lexi Olson was named as a third-team All-American. Olson led the Jimmies in blocks (92) and service aces (31), was second in hitting percentage (.303), and was fourth in kills (171).
