Present: Kamlitz, Phillips, Steele, Ryan, Hellekson, Blackmore, Blinsky, Dillman, Michel, Reuther, Stroh
and Sveum. Absent: Heinrich and Schloegel.
POLICE & FIRE COMMITTEE
Chair Kamlitz convened the meeting at 4:00 p.m.
The 2003 Jamestown Airport Aircraft Rescue Firefighters (AARF) Agreement between the City and the
Jamestown Regional Airport Authority will be discussed at a future Police & Fire Committee meeting.
Major Blinsky provided a Police Department update.
Chair Kamlitz adjourned the meeting at 4:06 p.m.
PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE
Chair Steele convened the meeting at 4:06 p.m.
Kamlitz moved to recommend the City Council approve the engineering agreement for the 4th Ave SE
project, from 5th St NE to 10th St SE, as a part of the City’s STIP list projects and authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement. Seconded by Phillips. Unanimous aye vote. Carried.
Phillips moved to recommend the City Council approve the engineering agreement for a new cell at the
Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) landfill and authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement. Seconded by
Kamlitz. City Engineer Dillman provided information. Unanimous aye vote. Carried.
Kamlitz moved to recommend the City Council approve the quote for the installation of a new perimeter
fence for the inert landfill from Wald Fencing in the amount of 13,633.01. Seconded by Phillips. City
Engineer Dillman provided information. Unanimous aye vote. Carried.
Phillips moved to recommend the City Council approve Change Order No. 3 for the Inert Landfill Project
a net increase in the contract price of $14,019.75. Seconded by Kamlitz. City Engineer Dillman provided
information. Unanimous aye vote. Carried.
Kamlitz moved to recommend the City Council approve the following for 2025 Sidewalk and Curb and
Gutter District 25-11:
a. To set up and establish the District.
b. To direct the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for construction of the
District.
Seconded by Phillips. Public Works Director Michel provided information. Unanimous aye vote. Carried.
INFORMATIONAL: City Engineer Dillman reviewed the upcoming 2025 Watermain Improvement
District Project #25-61.
City Engineer Dillman reviewed the project updates.
Chair Steele adjourned the meeting at 4:22 p.m.
