NDHP – On December 27th at 4:35pm a Kia Sorento was traveling southbound on County Road 88 when the driver became distracted by a phone call. As a result, the vehicle veered off the roadway to the left,
entering the eastbound ditch. The Kia struck a concrete bridge support and came to a stop. The driver, Linda Schneider, 66-years-old of Hebron, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained serious injuries. She was life-flighted by Sanford AirMed to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, where she was pronounced deceased. Three juveniles in the vehicle were transported to Sanford Hospital via ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol. Juvenile
