(CSi) – On the early morning of Sunday January 19 a fire broke out at the University of Jamestown at the Badal Nafus Center dinning hall. It started in the kitchen at 1:37 am. The fire destroyed the kitchen area along with smoke and water damage to the dining hall.
Jamestown Fire Dept along with help from Jamestown Rural Fire Dept were called in to fight the fire. Total firefighters responding, JFD had 19 and JRFD also had 19. Six firetrucks answered the call. No fire fighters were injured.
Most of the damage was reported to the roof of the structure. The fire is still under investigation. Other services on scene were Jamestown Ambulance and Red Cross. The JFD had it under control and wrapped up at 12:27 pm.

As of 9am this morning the Jamestown Fire Department was still on hand making sure the fire was out.
