TEMPE, Ariz. – North Dakota softball held #25 Washington hitless through the first three innings of Sunday’s finale at the Littlewood Classic, but the Huskies recorded seven hits over the fourth and fifth innings to plate five runs while shutting out the Hawks in a 5-0 win from inside Farrington Stadium.

UND (5-5) managed two hits with Katie Joten leading off the game with a single into left field and a fifth inning single off the bat of Katelyn Neumayer. Those were the lone two base runners for the Hawks as UW’s staff recorded 15 strikeouts.

The Hawks return to action on Tuesday in Texas as UND takes on East Texas A&M at 6 p.m. in Commerce. The action can be seen on ESPN+. The Hawks and Lions meet for the first time. Live stats for the matchup will be available at www.FightingHawks.com.
