JPD – The Jamestown Police Department wants to notify Jamestown residents regarding a high risk sex offender who has changed addresses within the city of Jamestown.

56 years of age, Brian Keith Sternberg, lives at 1008 9 Ave SE Jamestown, ND 58401.

Johnson drives a gray 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 ND/373EJB, tan 2007 Chevy Tahoe ND/808EKJ.

Johnson is white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 198 pounds, and has Hazel eyes and Brown hair.

Mr. Sternberg has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.

Offense: Continuous Sexual Abuse of Child – Sternberg raped a pre-teen girl, encouraged another adult to have sex with her, and forced a young boy to have sex with her.

Conviction Date: 10/13/2000 in Cass County District Court, ND. 

Disposition:  20 years; 32 days credit; consecutive.

Offense: Child Abuse – Sternberg forced a young boy to eat his own feces. 

Conviction Date: 10/13/2000 in Cass County District Court, ND. 

Disposition: 5 years; consecutive.

Offense: Corrupt/Solicitation of Minor – Sternberg went to a friend’s house to collect $20 his friend owed him.  When she wasn’t home, Sternberg had intercourse with his friend’s 17-year-old daughter. 

Conviction Date: 05/07/1992 in Cass County District Court, ND. 

Disposition: 1 year; 11 months suspended for 2 years.
