SEDONA Ariz – After battling two straight days of delays due to snow and course conditions, the North Dakota State women’s golf team finished tied for third place at the Red Rocks Invitational at Oakcreek Country Club on Sunday afternoon.

The tournament was adjusted to an 18-hole tournament after play began on Friday afternoon before being suspended until Sunday. The Bison posted a final score of 291 (+3) to finish tied for third place with South Dakota State in the 19-team tournament. Grand Canyon took the top spot with an even 288 followed by Northern Arizona one stroke back in second place with a score of 289 (+1).

Norah Roberts paced the Bison finishing tied for sixth place after carding a 71 (-1) with four birdies. It marked her fourth top 10 finish of the season. Elise Hoven and Hannah Dunk both cracked the top 20 finishing tied for 19th place. Hoven posted a 73 (+1) with three birdies and Dunk also notched a 73 (+1) with three birdies.

Madi Hicks posted a 74 (+2) to finish tied for 31st place, while Cora Larson came in tied for 62nd place with a 77 (+5). Avery Bartels, who played as an individual, finished tied for 79th place with a 79 (+7).
