Violena Moos, 86, Jamestown, ND died Friday August 24, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown, ND.

 

Violena Schweitzer was born April 19, 1926 at Fredonia, ND, the daughter of John Schweitzer and Ottilia (Reibhagen) Schweitzer. She grew up in the Alfred area.

 

She and Philip Moos were married October 20, 1946 in Gackle, ND. They made their home in the Gackle area until 1959 when they moved into Jamestown, ND. In 1962 she began working at Jamestown Hospital. She entered Rock of Ages May of 2007 and Eventide at Hi-Acres in Nov of 2009.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Verna V. Moos, Omaha, TX; Shirley Jean (Jerome) Huck, Jamestown, ND. 2 grandchildren, Eric (Crystal) Huck, Fort Greely, AK; Phoenix (Jeremy) Rudolph, Wimbledon, ND, 4 great grandchildren, Troy, Ryan, Brittnie and Taylor Rudolph and Maximillian Jerome Huck to be born soon, 1 brother Walter (Fini) Schweitzer, Newhall, CA; 3 sisters, Marcella Schulz, Park City, IL; Matilda Kurtz, Hopkins, MN; Cecelia Pappas, Denver, CO.

 

Funeral Sevice -10:30 AM Wednesday August 29, 2012 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND.

Interment – Sunset Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, ND.

Visitation: 9-8 Tuesday at the Funeral Home

Prayer Service:  7:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
