SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Another year, another visit to the conference semifinals for North Dakota, as the fifth-seeded Fighting Hawks will battle No. 1 seed Western Michigan in the NCHC Frozen Faceoff Semifinals on Friday night at 7:37 p.m. from the Xcel Energy Center from St. Paul, Minn.
All UND men’s hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app, with longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy, who is in his 45th year on the mic for UND hockey, and Darrin Looker calling the action. Friday’s game can be heard on 96.1 FM (The Fox), the flagship station of North Dakota hockey.
Friday’s game can be seen on CBS Sports Network with Alex Heinert and Dave Starman calling the action. Shireen Starman joins the crew as the rinkside reporter. Fans will not be able to stream the game on NCHC.tv, due to conference streaming rights.

Friday will be the 48th all-time meeting between North Dakota and Western Michigan, with UND holding a 31-15-1 advantage in the series.
The two sides met four times during the regular season, with Western Michigan winning the first trio of matchups before NoDak grabbed a 4-3 victory in overtime on March 1.
This will also be the third all-time meeting at the NCHC Frozen Faceoff between the two sides. UND won the first meeting in the 2014 third-place game while WMU was victorious in the 2022 semifinals.
