SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State, the reigning Summit League outdoor track & field champions, were picked to win both the men’s and women’s 2025 league outdoor titles in the preseason coaches’ poll released Wednesday.

The Bison men were voted the preseason favorites after receiving 35 total points and five of the seven first-place votes. South Dakota received 28 points for the runner-up spot.

The NDSU women, who won the 2025 indoor title, were picked to win the league after receiving 49 total points and seven of eight first-place votes. North Dakota was selected to finish second with 39 total points.

The Bison men and women have both won 15 Summit League outdoor team titles in 16 seasons since joining the league in 2008.
