Lech – In an effort to improve communication and community engagement around facilities, Jamestown Public Schools will be kicking off a video series next week (March 31) and culminate with a community survey this spring.
These videos, which are generally less than one minute in length, include perspectives from central office as well as a teacher and building principal. The series focuses on three primary questions: 1) Why was the decision made to retire Washington, 2) Why is now the right time to make these facility decisions, and 3) What options do we have for next steps.
Additionally, a survey will be sent in early May to guide the Jamestown School Board in determining future actions. It will be sent through the mail to each patron living in the school district and can be completed online or through paper. Your feedback is critical and we ask that each patron completes this survey when they receive it. To make the best possible decision for Jamestown Public Schools, we need to hear from each of you.
We look forward to sharing these videos over the next few months and we hope it helps to build an understanding around the decisions that have been made as well as the decisions that we have yet to make.
Thank you!
Rob Lech
Superintendent
