On Monday, May 12 at approximately 3:51 PM MT, a 2000 GMC Sierra driven by a 65 year old male of Camano Island, WA was traveling southbound on 16th St NW, one mile west of Reeder. An 2019 International Semi pulling a grain trailer driven by a 74 year old male of Dickinson was traveling east from Scranton to Regent. The driver of the Sierra failed to stop at the stop sign and the semi struck the Sierra. The driver of the Sierra sustained serious injuries and was taken to West River Health Services Hospital, Hettinger, and then airlifted to CHI St. Alexius Health Center, Bismarck.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
