Stutsman County Memorial Museum opens for the summer season May 24th at 1 pm. Step back in time through an eclectic collection of items and artifacts from the area’s history.

The Stutsman County Museum offers four stories of history in the beautiful (and air-conditioned!) Lutz Mansion. Experience the craftsmanship and artistry of the 1900s when you explore this Collegiate Gothic style great house. You will find an extensive collection of historical artifacts including, pioneer, railroad, military, household, agricultural, medical and archaeological items. A wealth of information fills the library, and now a replica of a historic gazebo, a focal point of old Jamestown, is open for the museum’s Front Porch Chats (weather permitting) and other events.

Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day

  • Weekdays: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Weekends: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Front Porch Chats, showcasing Jamestown’s pioneer history, are held on Sundays at 2:00 p.m., June through August.
