UPDATE as of June 3: The NDHP aircraft found the suspects. All three were taken into custody without incident. The first two were apprehended at about 5:10 p.m., and the other was arrested later in the evening.

The driver is being charged with aggravated reckless driving and fleeing a police officer. The driver and passengers, a 25 yr old from Mandaree, and the 41yr old from Mandan are facing refusal to halt and possession of a controlled substance charges. More as information as it becomes available.

Previously Reported: NDHP – On June 2, 2025, at approximately 10:38 am, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Department pursued a vehicle from Sioux County into Morton County along Highway 6. NDHP Troopers and Morton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to assist with the pursuit. NDHP Troopers took over primary of the pursuit as the vehicle continued to flee along rural Morton County roads and off road to evade law enforcement.

The NDHP Aircraft also monitored the pursuit. The vehicle came to a stop in the area of 44th Street and 27th Avenue in Morton County where three occupants fled on foot. This area is along the Heart River, west/southwest of Mandan. Officers searched the area on foot and by air but were not able to locate the suspects and ultimately discontinued the search.

If anyone observes the suspects, do not approach and call 911.

• 1 male wearing a brown shirt
• 1 male wearing a red shirt or shirtless
• 1 female wearing white shirt and black pants
