Valley City (BCM) – The Barnes County Museum is proud to announce the opening of the State Junior Duck Stamp Art Exhibit, showcasing the incredible talent of young artists from across North Dakota. This special exhibit will be on display from 6/5/2025 through 7/2/25. featuring award-winning artwork from the annual North Dakota Junior Duck Stamp competition.
The Junior Duck Stamp Program encourages students in grades K-12 to learn about wetlands, waterfowl conservation, and ecological responsibility through art. Each year, students create stunning pieces inspired by the state’s rich wildlife, with top entries recognized for their creativity and commitment to conservation themes.
This year’s Best of Show winner was Francheska Flores with her entry featuring a pair of northern shovelers. Francheska’s artwork went on to place in the top 15 nationally. Additionally, the 2025 North Dakota Conservation Message winner, Kayla Triebold, triumphed in the National Conservation Message contest held in Falls Church, Virginia, in April.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view these exceptional works and appreciate the importance of conservation in our natural world.
