Jamestown, ND — The Jamestown Optimist Club is kicking things up a notch this summer with its 4th Annual Kickball Palooza, returning on Friday, July 26 at the Farmers Union Camp. With 12 team slots available, this year’s event promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet.
Registration opens at 10:30 a.m., with games officially starting at 11:00 a.m. The event is family-friendly, and teams of eight or more players, ages 14 and up, are invited to register for $200 per team through online registration. Individuals without a team can also join for $25, and will be placed on a “fill” team.
Organizers recommend registering early—last year saw a surge in participation, growing from four teams in 2023 to seven in 2024. This year’s expanded format offers room for twelve, and interest is already high. All proceeds from Kickball Palooza go directly to supporting youth in our community.
This even will benefit organizations like Youth For Christ, The Arts Center, and Imagination Library, which provides free books to children from birth to age five.
The day also includes great food and drinks from Hog Time BBQ and Good Vibes Nutrition, plus activities for young children, including open-play kickball and a playground area. Volunteers will be on hand to help with youth games while the main event unfolds on the hill.
