VCPR (CSI) – Sheyenne RiverFest, returns to Valley City on Sat Aug 2. Get ready to hit the water for one of the region’s most anticipated summer events. Drawing more than 200 paddlers from across four states, RiverFest is the largest watercraft festival in the area and a must-attend celebration for paddling enthusiasts of all levels.
Whether you’re a seasoned kayaker or trying out a canoe for the first time, RiverFest is all about bringing the paddling community together. Participants will check in at 8:30 AM, with a 10:00 AM launch from the National Fish Hatchery or Fort Ransom State Park—two picturesque starting points that promise a peaceful, scenic float down the beautiful Sheyenne River.
But the fun doesn’t end on the water! Once paddlers reach Chautauqua Park, they’ll be welcomed by the popular Valley Parks Craft and Vendor Show—a vibrant marketplace filled with local goods, handmade crafts, delicious treats, and more.
Whether you’re paddling or just enjoying the atmosphere, Sheyenne RiverFest is a day of outdoor adventure, community connection, and small-town summer charm. So grab your kayak, bring your friends, and join us for a float to remember!
