PD – The Jamestown Police Department wants to notify Jamestown residents regarding a new high risk sex offender who has changed addresses within the city of Jamestown.

45 years of age, Jamal Joel Anderson, HOMELESS, 58401.

Anderson is a Black Male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, and has Brown eyes and Black hair.

Mr. Anderson has been assigned a High risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.

Offense: Corrupt/Solicitation of Minor – When police conducted a search of Anderson’s place of residence, they found a nude 16-year-old girl in Anderson’s bed.  Upon questioning, the two had sexual intercourse approx. 5 times in the past six months. 

Conviction Date: 02/02/2001 in Stutsman County District Court, ND. 

Disposition: 1 year; 48 days credit; 6 years supervised probation.

Offense: Aggravated Assault – Anderson struck a 17-year-old boy with a baseball bat on his back and face, requiring five stitches to close a wound on the boy’s face.

Conviction Date: 03/25/1999 in Stutsman County District Court, ND. 

Disposition: 5 years; 5 years suspended for 5 years; 5 years supervised probation.

Anderson is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court.  This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender.  Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution. Mr. Hardaway is on parole with ND Parole and Probation.
