Jamestown (Chamber) – Gould Family Field is officially open, ushering in a new era for Jamestown baseball. The state-of-the-art field was celebrated with a ribbon cutting alongside the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, Jamestown Parks and Recreation District, and Jamestown Youth Baseball.
The opening of Gould Family Field marks the completion of phase one in a $4 million, multi-year renovation project at the Al Boelke Baseball Complex. The transformation includes:
- Two brand-new fields with turf infields
- Renovated concessions and restroom facilities
- Paved walkways and patios for accessibility
- Expanded parking to accommodate growing crowds
As the primary home for Babe Ruth-level play, Gould Family Field is set to host tournaments and events that bring teams from across North Dakota and beyond, making Jamestown a regional baseball destination.
The project was made possible through strong community support, including a $911,100 grant from the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department and contributions from local donors.
While phase one is complete, the vision for the complex is far from finished. Fundraising is ongoing for phases two and three, which will bring additional fields, batting cages, and other player and fan amenities.
Congratulations to Jamestown Parks and Recreation and Jamestown Youth Baseball on the opening of Gould Family Field—a facility that will serve athletes, families, and visitors for generations.
