Grand Forks – UND women’s track & field cross country standout Jadyn Keeler can now add two-time medalist in front of her name, as the incoming senior captured a pair of medals for her home nation of Canada at the 2025 Jr. Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay this week.
In her international debut on Monday evening, Keeler announced her presence with a bang in the 10,000-meters by shattering the games record (34:43.80) by over 27 seconds to capture the gold medal with a time of 34:16.61 to earn an automatic qualifier to the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. The time was the second-best in the career for Keeler and would have ranked third in program history.
Just a few days later, Keeler found her way back to the podium once again — this time in the 5,000-meters. The Barrie, Ontario, native was one of only two competitors to finish under the 16-minute mark and claim the silver medal with a time of 15:56.77. The time was also the second-best in the Keeler’s career and would sit in second on the program’s all-time top-10 list.
North Dakota will open the 2025 cross country season a week from today by hosting the annual Ron Pynn Classic from Ray Richards Golf Course in Grand Forks, N.D.
