NDHP – On Thursday, October 2 at 11:42 PM, a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper conducted a traffic stop on a Hyundai Sonata for a traffic violation near State Street and Interstate Avenue in Bismarck. During the stop, the driver fled the scene in the vehicle. The trooper did not pursue. The suspect vehicle subsequently crashed at the curve of Boulevard Avenue and State Street. The driver fled on foot, and a search of the area was unsuccessful for the driver. A search of the vehicle revealed a stolen handgun and drug paraphernalia. The driver was identified as Whitney Bagola, 31, Rapid City, SD.
The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
