Mark Edward Olsen passed away on October 12, 2025, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was born on October 16, 1946, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Reo and Geneva Olsen. Mark graduated from Moorhead High School in Moorhead, Minnesota, in 1964. He then attended Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa, and Moorhead State University, where he received a degree in Business.

After graduation, Mark worked in the retail industry for over 40 years. He married Marilyn Hill on October 18, 1975, and together they lived in Helena, Montana, for more than 30 years.

Mark is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn; his daughter, Megan Winston (Carlos); and grandchildren Carley Winston, Carlsen Winston, Jackson Lloyd, and Mckayla Lloyd. He is also survived by his brother, Roger Olsen (Carole); his sister, Cheryl Nelson (John); his brother-in-law, Mark Voxland; and his brother- and sister-in-law, Jim and Rita Sundstrom; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Meredith Lloyd; his parents, Reo and Geneva Olsen; and his sister, Donna Voxland.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel in Valley City, North Dakota. A burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
