Clinton Stowman, age 97, of Valley City, ND, died Thursday, October 23rd at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 28th at Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City.  Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the Church on Tuesday morning.  Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.  An online guestbook and livestream of Clinton’s service will be available at www.lerudmathias.com.

Clinton Perry Stowman was born on September 28th, 1928 at Dazey, ND.  He is the son of Gladys and Perry Stowman.  Clinton graduated from Tower City High School in 1946.  He entered the Army and served from 1950-1952.  The majority of his service was spent in Germany.  In 1954, he married Laura Price in Fingal, ND and they were married 71 years.  Clinton attended the Dakota Business College in Fargo, using the G.I. bill.  After graduating from DBC, he worked at the bank in Sheyenne, ND for almost 2 years.  Clinton began farming in Weimer Township in 1957 and retired from farming in 1990.  Clinton and Laura moved to Valley City in 1992.  He was a lifetime member of the VFW and longtime member of the Eagles.

Clinton is survived by Patrick (Meridee) Stowman, Donna (Buzz) Byzewski, Kathy (Darrell) Berglund, Mark (Shirley) Stowman and Bill (Angie) Stowman.  Ten grandchildren: Jessi (Matt) Stockford, Perry (Amanda) Stowman, Andy (Pam) Byzewski, Sara Berglund, Jordan (Kayla) Berglund, Michael (Jess) Stowman, Matthew Stowman, Arin Stowman, William Stowman and Alex Stowman.  Fourteen great-grandchildren:  Abby Byzewski, Reed Hill, Sam Hill, Oliveah Logue, Allegra Stowman, Cashton Stowman, Theodore Stowman, Graham Berglund, Charlie Berglund, Kamryn Berglund, Emma Stowman, Hailey Stowman, Claire Stowman and Khloie Yokum.  

Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Perry Stowman, his brother, Donald Stowman and his son Keith Stowman.
