Valley City ND (VCSU) – The Valley City State University men hit the road Wednesday, November 12th for a game with Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell, South Dakota. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m.

The Vikings are 3-0 on the season with three close wins. VCSU downed Minnesota-Morris 99-91 in overtime, beat Mount Marty 83-76, and picked up an 83-82 win over Doane.

Leading the way for the Vikings are a pair of newcomers. Seniors JR Cison and Kaleb Larson. Cison has averaged 25.7 points per game in the first three games if the season. He has hit on 54.9 percent of his field goals and is 15-of-27 from 3-point range. He also has ten assists and eight steals in the first three games. For is efforts last week, Cison was named the Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Larson is averaging 13 points per game in the first three with seven assists and four steals. Logan Deal is also averaging in double figures through the first three contests. The junior is averaging 12.7 points per game so far this season.

Dakota Wesleyan is 3-1 on the season. They are led by Randy Rosenquist Jr. who averages 16 points and five rebounds per game. Easton Neuendorf averages 14 points, four assists, and two steals per game.
Since 2003, the Vikings lead the series 9-8. Last season, the two teams split the two games. Valley City State won in Mitchell 78-76, scoring with under a minute to play to pull out the win. The Tigers won in Valley City two weeks later, 72-56.
