Funeral Arrangements Update

The funeral for Dick Cheney will be held on November 20, 2025, at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., bringing together national leaders, dignitaries, and invited guests to honor his decades of public service.

According to the U.S. Flag Code, flags are to be lowered to half-staff from the day of his death until the day of his interment (November 20).

On the day of his interment, flags will be returned to full-staff at sunset, marking the formal conclusion of the half-staff period under the statute.

Following the cathedral service, Cheney will be laid to rest during a private interment attended by family and close friends.
