Harvey Fiechtner, 87, of Gackle, North Dakota, died Monday morning, November 17, 2025 at his home in Gackle.

Harvey was born April 10, 1938 on the family farm near Lehr, ND. The son of Christ and Martha (Tiede) Fiechtner. He attended country school for eight years then worked on the family farm.

He and Ramona Meidinger were married October 24, 1958 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in rural Zeeland, ND. They made their home on a farm NW of Fredonia, ND, moving to Gackle in August, 1995.

Harvey drove bus for the Gackle Public School, was on the Fredonia Martin Lutheran Church board council, Logan County Social Services board, Janke Township board and a Fredonia Lion club member. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Gackle.

Harvey was a hardworking farmer. Even after his move to Gackle, he continued to work for area farmers.

Surviving are his three sons, Randy (Marie), Wyndmere, ND; Bruce (Karla), Fredonia; and Bradley, Wahpeton, ND; three grandchildren, Stacey, Amber and Austin and three great-grandchildren, Presten, Madison, and Rylee.

Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona, his parents, one brother, Wilbert; and two sisters, Hilma and Alfreida.
