Michael James Joseph Borg, the son of Barry and Cheryll (Hanson) Borg, was born on September 1, 1989. From a young age he was full of energy, humor and heart. He was known for being fun-loving and fiercely loyal to the people he cared about. A natural athlete, Michael was involved in wrestling, football, track, choir, and mixed martial arts. He also had his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He mentored and trained others and was a fantastic teacher. He also found his passion working in security, where his protective nature and strong presence regularly diffused intense situations. He courageously met danger head on to keep others safe. Michael had a very strong work ethic. When he committed to something, he gave it everything he had. His work ethic and determination were evident in all he did. Michael loved being outdoors – whether he was hunting, kayaking, or simply enjoying fresh air and open sky. He also cherished quiet time watching movies, relaxing, and being with the people he loved. He will be remembered for his big heart, warm hugs, his playful spirit, and ability to make others feel at ease just be being himself. His incredible skill of quoting movie lines verbatim and reenacting movie scenes with his brothers was sure to bring peals of laughter in the house.
Michael is survived by his parents: Barry and Cheryll Borg; his siblings Kevin (Tina) Borg, Brenda (Greg) Molinaro, Steve Borg, Johnathan (Christine) Borg, and Rebekah Borg; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Selmer and Lola Borg, maternal grandparents Norman and Nell Hanson.
