The James River Valley Library is inviting the community to gather around the table for its January Cookbook Club January 8 at 6:30 pm, featuring a warm and comforting theme: bread. Open to the public, this event welcomes anyone who enjoys cooking, baking, or simply sharing good food and conversation.

Participants are encouraged to select a bread-themed recipe from a cookbook either one from the library’s collection or their own at home prepare it in advance, and bring it to the meeting. From classic yeast breads and rolls to sweet loaves and creative variations, the possibilities are endless.

During the meeting, members will take turns discussing their chosen recipes, sharing tips and experiences, and sampling one another’s dishes. Cookbook Club is designed for both new and seasoned cooks, creating a relaxed and friendly environment where everyone can learn, contribute, and enjoy the process.
