Gerald “Jerry” Albin, 86, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away on June 25, 2026, at his home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Jamestown, North Dakota on Monday, July 20 at 10:00 AM.
Jerry was born on March 17, 1940, to Gilmore and Minnie (Vondergeest) Albin in Jamestown ND, and grew up on the family farm near Spiritwood, ND.
Following his graduation from Jamestown High School in 1958, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. He spent his engineering career working for the Northern Pacific Railroad and following his retirement he worked part-time as an engineering consultant for the TranSystems Corporation and later a partner in JBM, a division of TranSystems Corporation.
Jerry married Dianne Dally in Jamestown on August 25, 1962. They lived in various places in Minnesota, Washington, Montana, Missouri and Kansas before making their home in Littleton where they have lived for over 30 years.
Jerry is survived by his wife, a sister, Merna Roberts, of Knoxville, Tennessee, a brother, Wayne (Sally) of Jamestown, ND along with three nephews and one niece and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents and father- and mother-in-law, Duane and Grace Dally.
