NDSU-small2FARGO, N.D. (AP Oct 29, 2013) – North Dakota State University officials say they plan to meet with the Bison Dance Team to iron out details that would allow the squad to perform at sporting events.

The team was banned from appearing at athletic contests after school officials said members violated numerous athletic department policies. The team is still participating in collegiate competitions.

The controversy prompted NDSU President Dean Bresciani (bruh-SHAW’-nee) to write an email to administrators that it was not an issue he should have to deal with. That came after a dance team parent called his office.

In the email obtained by The Forum newspaper Bresciani told two school officials that the team “and the parents are on the warpath … again.”
