Foster County Using CodeRED

Carrington (CSi)   Officials in  Foster County announced that the county now  has  a warning system for county residents.

The CodeRED system uses a database of telephone numbers and associated addresses that can be used to deliver recorded emergency notifications to a selected set of telephone service subscribers.

Foster County Emergency Manager,  Teresa Risovi, says the service will be used in the event of an emergency. 

 The system is already being used for the Lake Juanita area in the event of severe weather, Carrington Public Works  for water main breaks and the Carrington Fire Department uses the warning system as a supplemental paging system.

The system was established by Global Connect, which was bought out by CodeRED, which is also operational in the area in Stutsman and Barnes Counties.
