dazzleOn10CSi TV 10 –  THE REPLAY CHANNEL, will record the parade, with announcers Chris Sheppard and Wayne Byers.  Join us downtown, corner of 1st Ave & 2nd St S, Arts Park & Bank intersection. Parade starts at 7pm Friday, Nov 29.   Bleacher seating will be available.  Bring blankets. 

The parade will originate at the south end of McElroy Park and travel north to 8th St. S.E. and then west to First Avenue and going north to Third Street North.

Main Street Downtown President Nancy Miller said that last year there were over 40 entries in the parade which was watched by several thousand people.

Ambassador, Charlie Kourajian adds, that several new entries will be in the parade this year.

Parade entries will compete for trophies in four categories:

Best Dazzle,

Most Original Theme,

Most Outstanding Amateur Built, 

Most Outstanding Civic or Non-profit.

A $100 cash award will be given to the trophy winners.

Floats will be judged for motion, lights, creativity, originality of theme, holiday spirit and music.

Judges will select the winners at 6:30 p.m. at the gathering area in McElroy Park and awarded at the after parade party at the Gladstone Inn with songs by the Jamestown Choralaires and refreshments and cookies courtesy of Shady’s and the Main Street Downtown Association, along with Hugo’s and Coborn’s.

The parade will be recorded by CSi 10 THE REPLAY CHANNEL,  for viewing enjoyment this season.  Chris and Wayne will be announcing the parade downtown, intersection of Arts Park & Bank  (2nd St S). 

First United Methodist Church of Jamestown is once again inviting all Holiday Dazzle participants and viewers to enjoy free popcorn and hot cocoa in the lower dining room before, during and after the parade on Friday, November 29.   You’re invited to come, warm up, and enjoy food and fellowship in this friendly atmosphere.  The First United Church is located just east of the Alfred Dickey Public Library.
