North Dakota State University Bison win over the Towson University Tigers of
Maryland for the NCAA Division I Championship. The final score was 35 to 7.

“For the third year in a row, the NDSU Bison have shown their mettle with another
great season and championship win. The Tigers played a spirited game, but the Bison
offense and defense were unstoppable. Congratulations and best wishes to Coach Bohl,
who coached his last game with Bison today, as well as Athletics Director Gene
Taylor and NDSU President Dean Bresciani for their leadership at NDSU. And a special
thank you to the Bison players, who once again performed with consummate skill and
style. We also want to thank Coach Rob Ambrose and the Towson players for playing
with their hearts to the very last play of the game.”

  BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple today congratulates Coach Craig Bohl
and the North Dakota State University Bison football team on winning their
third consecutive NCAA Division 1 FCS Championship. The Bison defeated the
Towson University Tigers 35-7 for the national title in Frisco, Texas.

          “The NDSU Bison have had an outstanding undefeated season, capped off
today with a third-straight national title,” Dalrymple said. “The team has
represented North Dakota extremely well, and we know Bison fans across the
nation are proud of the team’s victory.”

With the win over Towson, North Dakota will be receiving a box of crab cakes from
Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley. The two governors made the friendly wager leading
up to today’s game, O’Malley agreeing to send crab cakes if NDSU won and Gov.
Dalrymple wagering a box of North Dakota-made Dreamfields low-carb pasta.
