Three months can be a long time, but when planning and building a Holiday Parade float, it isn’t much time at all.

Yes, folks, it is that time again to start working on your floats for the Annual Holiday Dazzle Parade.

This year’s parade will be on Friday night, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. Gathering point will again be McElroy Park and the route goes nort, 2012  to 8th Street and then over to First Avenue and north to 3rd Street North.

An after parade party will again be at the Gladstone Inn, hosted by Shady’s and the Main Street Downtown Association with Christmas songs and goodies.

Trophies for the best floats will be awarded at that time for these categories:

Best Dazzle

Most Original

Most Outstanding Amateur Built

Most Outstanding Civic or Non-Profit Float.

The Main Street Downtown Association will be having the Civic Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday evening, Nov. 21, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. with a short program.

Refreshments and treats will be served.
