BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Oil-rich North Dakota is socking away billions of dollars in tax revenue and residents increasingly are questioning where it’s going.
North Dakota Treasurer Kelly Schmidt says her agency launched a link on its website last week to help people track various funds and see how the money is being used.
Schmidt says about 40 state funds are being tracked. She says residents will be able to see fund balances and how the money is being managed.
Schmidt says the information will be updated quarterly.
