The Canine Stars are an international world class dog entertainment team, featuring high jumping, agility and tricks. Their presentations pack in the action, along with great music and enthusiasm, as they entertain their audiences. The team’s goal is to educate, influence and raise awareness in communities, by incorporating stray, rescue, abandoned and misunderstood dogs into the shows.
The act was started by Keri Caraher and Ethan Wilhelm, when they began competing in dog sports with their personal pet dogs in 2001, in Colorado. They competed across the country at the highest levels in agility and flyball racing, earning top placements at National and World Champion events and, in 2005, they began performing professionally with their sports stars, at rodeos, theme parks and fairs.
In January 2012, The Canine Stars team was created to bring the amazing rescued dogs to audiences, spreading the word about the importance of pet adoption and creating a strong interactive bond together with man’s best friend. They have performed all over the country, as well as in Canada and Puerto Rico and put on an inspiring dog show for the whole family.
