THE NATIONAL WATHER SERVICE SAYS…SNOW MELT CAUSING RIVER RISES ACROSS WESTERN AND SOUTHERN NORTH
 DAKOTA…

THE WARM TEMPERATURES ON SUNDAY HAVE CAUSED RAPID SNOW MELT OF THE
REMAINING LIGHT SNOW COVER ACROSS WESTERN AND SOUTHERN NORTH
DAKOTA. THIS HAS CAUSED RIVER RISES ALONG THE CANNONBALL…KNIFE
LITTLE MUDDY AND THE LITTLE MISSOURI RIVER BASINS.

WHILE THIS WAS EXPECTED…THE SMALL SUPPLY OF REMAINING SNOW
COVER ACROSS THE WEST AND SOUTH SHOULD LIMIT THE POTENTIAL FOR
FURTHER RAPID SNOW MELT AND RIVER RISES. ALSO…NIGHT TIME
TEMPERATURES BELOW FREEZING WILL SLOW THE MELT THIS COMING WEEK.

ANYONE OBSERVING HIGH WATER…SHOULD RELAY THIS TO YOUR LOCAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR RELAY TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
