BISMARCK, N.D. – U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp today released the following statement on the passing of former North Dakota Attorney General Nick Spaeth.
“I became friends with Nick in the 1980s when we were both rookie campaigners. We had a great time on the campaign trail. Throughout his life, Nick had a passion for serving the people of North Dakota. Because of his great intellect and steadfast commitment to moving our state forward, Nick successfully took on the very challenging job of Attorney General. He did an excellent job modernizing the operations in the Attorney General’s office, which helped us all be more effective in representing the state. My thoughts and prayers go out to Nick’s family and friends.”
