Gene Sylvester Radermacher, 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Oakes Community Hospital.
Gene was born on August 26, 1945, in Melrose, Minnesota, son of Sylvester and Marie (Broerman) Radermacher. He was raised on the family farm near Melrose and attended school there until 1956. In 1957, the family moved to Monango, ND where he graduated from high school. Gene continued to farm with his family and married Brenda Lee Gohman of Berlin, ND, on September 28, 1968. The couple farmed near Monango for 35 years as dairy, Angus cattle, and crop producers until retiring in 2007.
Gene was director of the Maple Valley Farmers Coop and was a member of the Valley Township Board for over 30 years.
Gene enjoyed family, friends, farming, and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Gene also enjoyed playing cards with his friends in Arizona.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; children, Jeffrey (Carrie), Wade, Sandra (Pat) Rivinius; and four grandchildren, Stephen and Rebecca Radermacher, Gabriel and Izabel Rivinius; and twelve brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
He is loved and sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.
Prayer Service: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.
Interment: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
