Monday March 31,  7pm:   JAMESTOWN POLICE ADVISES NO TRAVEL WITHIN THE CITY.  NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY AND ACCUMULATING SNOW ARE MAKING MANY CITY STREETS, ESPECIALLY THE HILLS, IMPASSIBLE, BY ALL BUT FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES.  NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS AND STALLED VEHICLES ARE BLOCKING MANY OF THESE ARTERIAL STREETS.  IF YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO TRAVEL, STAY  OFF CITY STREETS UNTIL THE STORM PASSES.

The Jamestown Police Department and ND Highway Patrol located in the Law Enforcement Center remains open at this time. All essential services will continue operation throughout the storm event.

Monday evening, snow plows have been  pulled after working all day since early morning,  in rural areas around Bismarck, Jamestown, Valley City, Devils Lake, Grand Forks and north of Fargo. If conditions improve, plows will resume operations early Tuesday morning when it is safe.
